Our Service
The Herts SARC, (Sexual Assault Referral Centre) offers a range of support services to anyone aged 13 or over, within the Hertfordshire area, who has experienced sexual abuse or sexual violence, either recently or in the past.
Clients can refer themselves without having to involve the Police, it is not necessary for a report to have been made in order to access our services. We can also, with a client's permission, take initial referrals from other professionals such as, but not limited to GP's, A&E Depts. and Sexual Health Clinics.
We also work alongside Hertfordshire Police to support any clients who have chosen to report to the Police.
Services for 12's and Under
Any referrals for Children aged 13 and under should be directed through Children's Services for Hertfordshire on 0330 123 4043. Referrals will be directed through the joint Child Protection Team and a Strategy Meeting will determine the course of action to be taken.
This video from the CSA Centre, offers a good overview of the medical examination in CSA cases. Please take a look to learn more.
